Some info about the rules in the new ABC game show – Duel.
These rules are meant for the actual Duel game show when it premiers on ABC, but probably will also be valid in the Duel online game that should be launched at about the same time.
Each player gets ten chips worth $5,000 to begin with. These chips will be used in the trivia face-offs in the show.
Every episode will have three or four Duels.
The winner of a Deul game gets to choose his next opponent.
Like in a roulette game – players place their chips on the answers they believe to be correct. If a chip is placed on a wrong answer, it is picked up by the "House" and added to a growing Jackpot.
A contestant who wins a Duel can 'bank' her chips and keep them.
Only the four players that finish with the highest scores will go on to the game shows finals with the grand cash prize.
The Jackpot will be handed out in the final episode of the week long launch.
