Duel game show will launch with a week long special in which 20 contestants will face off and vie for the big Jackpot – up to 1.5 million dollars.
During these intensive six days of Dueling, 16 Duel gameshow contestants will be eliminated leaving the leading four to battle it out for the big prize.
The contestants were selected using an intensive and thorough selection process which included game show auditions and interviews to find contestants that will not only be good at answering trivia questions, but also entertaining and interesting for home audiences and drawing support from the audience, much like in many reality shows in which the people at home root for their favorites.
The network has given interesting names to the contestants like "the used car salesman", "the internet censor" and "the alligator wrestler" to increase the interest in the characters and says that not everything is revealed about the contestants from the start, building up for some surprises.
The character chosen for the game show are:
"The College Administrator"
"The Author"
"The Nurse"
"The Fire Captain"
"The Carpenter"
"The Alligator Wrestler" (already my personal favorite (-:)
"The Cab Driver" (From Brooklyn!)
"The Student"
"The Used Car Salesman" (building up to be the "bad guy"?)
"The Internet Censor" (or maybe this one – for a show with an online trivia game version, should they really be choosing internet censors as contestants?)
"The Umpire" (something for everyone including sports trivia fans)
"The Air Force Major"
"The Belly Dancer" (can I change my mind about my favorite?)
"The Lunch Lady"
"The Attorney" (I won't even say it)
"The Rocker"
"The Software Engineer"
"The Homemaker"
"The Telemarketer" (for real??)
and "The Litigation Assistant" (I'd like to see her duel against the attorney)
